I discovered macramé at a workshop organised by a dear friend. What started as one relaxed day of learning quickly became an obsession. I was fascinated by the rhythm of tying, untying and creating. Before I knew it, I was completely immersed in the process.

I began with macramé wall decorations, exploring different patterns and textures, learning how a simple cord could become something expressive and beautiful.

Then, one day, I asked myself:

Why not make a dress?

And that simple question became the beginning of Shelliné.

Every Knot Matters

I love the intimacy of creating something by hand.

Every knot is intentional. Every pattern takes time. And when something goes wrong, sometimes the only choice is to undo dozens—or even hundreds—of knots and begin again.

But I have learned to enjoy those moments too.

They have taught me that creativity doesn't always need a plan. Sometimes, letting go of the original idea creates space for something even more interesting to emerge.

Without a fixed destination, there is freedom to experiment. To follow a feeling. To discover a new shape, a new pattern, a new possibility.

What’s Next

Art is unpredictable. Inspiration cannot always be planned, and an idea that exists only in your imagination can take time, patience and many attempts to become something real.

So when I begin a new piece, I follow my instinct and let the process guide me.

Shelliné is not simply about making clothes from macramé.

It is about discovering what can happen when craft, imagination and freedom come together.
